yearbook woes

Our yearbook finally arrived. After endless hours in the trenches
working with kids to produce what we think will be an award winning
book, we handed out the books. Our book is 316 pages for a school of
only 686. We covered as much as we could, and produced what we thought
was a fine book. (We acknowledged our mistakes, spelling, omissions etc)
So far I have been reamed out by a parent over the phone during a class,
because this wasn't "a senior book" there were other students in the
book. (we do a comprehensive book, with seniors having the largest
section). I have been maligned by a colleague whose club wasn't properly
covered (because at the time of our crucial deadline we didn't have any
pictures of what her club had done for the year--which I explained in an
apology letter--the notion of timely photos, and timely information as
we are on a tight deadline), and she is telling people that I left her
club out on purpose because it is the German club and I am Jewish (which
for the record I am not and have never been---but that is not the point
here).
What a way to end the year!!!!
