Hi I also like using the series-Eyewitness books. I really like the
quality of pictures and the culture depicted in the series as well.
I've used the African, Aztec, Pirate,Mummy etc. There is a wide
range. I also like using books for children on artist or about the
relation of a child in another culture talking about their lives.
There are so many around. I use the Mona Brookes elements to
strengthen the young peoples muscles but not over doing it with each
class. I have used the "Doing Art Together" book for 15 years and
it's always a winner. Unlike others who have spoken I enjoy longer
periods of time. Of course some projects don't lend to it. I enjoy
an hour. To sit and share, look at pictures and then not to rush but
have time to explore and experiment with material. Then to clean up
