Hi Mary,

I've taught kindergarten art during residencies for 50 minute time periods and found it worked very well. I always include group discussion time at the beginning of lessons, including looking at art prints, etc. I do also provide some activities for children who may finish early, but I do that for other grade levels, as well. DiscoverArt Kindergarten is a wonderful DBAE curriculum put out by Davis Publications. It includes a teacher guide, large art reproductions, and smaller reproductions. I think you can purchase the teacher guide separately, also.
