Count off the 25 days with patches of 365 anything to represent a year to
show the kids time passage.
Find headlines from the newspaper that coincide with the date of the opening
of the school.
Display old photos of prior years in the school where everyone can see them.
Have students project where they will be twenty five years from now to draw
and write about.
Challenge classrooms to decorate for the 25th anniversary, either windows or
doors. Make a contest about it, take pictures of it, do a collage of the
photos or old photos of the doors in combination with the decorated ones and
produce it as a poster for resale to fund a worthy school cause. Do in
black and white for less expense and have students hand watercolor them.
Invite retired teachers and administrators and former students to visit or
write an anecdotal account of their fondest memory at the school.
Hope this helps. Linda K.
