I saw a group of paintings done by 8th graders studying Am. History and portraiture. They
were acrylic, about 18"x 24" and each was a Presidents' portrait but as a postage stamp
design. The edges were cut in a stamp-like scallop pattern. The color was done
expressionist/ fauv type style, which made them quite striking. You could definitely see a
Matisse-type influence. They made a striking display- Texas history, or famous Texans
would be great! Sounds like fun to me!
