Re the query on Hispanic artists
You are in luck--there's much available on ArtsEdNet for a start. For
example, there are lesson plans and information on Jesus Moroles, a
contemporary sculptor. There is also much background and lesson ideas on
Luis Jimenez, also a sculptor, as part of the Multicultural Art Print
Series on Mexican American Artists. Check under the Lesson Plans and
Curriculum Ideas section
http://www.artsednet.getty.edu/education/teacherartexchange/resources/index.html.

Also, check out Chicana/Chicano Space developed by Dr. Mary Erickson and
the Hispanic Resource Center at Arizona State University.

There are many many other resources out there--but these are good places
to start.
