Lesson Plans

block scheduling

Beginning this fall, I will be teaching art to grades K-12.

I have two concerns.

1) The school has block scheduling. This means that junior and senior
high students only take art for half the year (unless it is a declared
major.) Classes meet for 50 minutes, 4 times a week.

2) The elementary classes are only a half hour long, twice weekly.

Do you have any advice or lesson plans available that specifically
address block scheduling situations? What about the short elementary
class times?

Thank you for any help,

Vicki Bean
