I now use a mop to clean off my tables in the art room. It is quick and saves
a lot of scrubbing. On days when you are using plaster, clay or other things
that leave a filmy residue, one quick go-over after the class has cleaned up
and wiped everything off first will remove the remainder. I add a little
washroom cleaner to the water; the maintence staff for my area gives me a
bottle of the concentrated cleaner, a mop and wringer bucket I keep just
inside the door of the supply closet. The bathroom cleanser doesn't require
rinsing and also works as an air freshener.

I got this tip off from someone a couple of years ago on this listserv. Thank
you, to whoever sent it in. I'm sorry I can't credit the original author.

I was madly mopping the tables one day between classes when the superintendent
walked in and got a good laugh. He's seen me do plenty of crazier stuff in the
last 19 years; I know he must wonder what he'll find next when he darkens the
artroom door.

Thanks to everyone for the good tips.
