I am a new 'subscriber'
currently based in london England and shortly moving to Old Chatham,
Columbia County, New York with my wife and triplet sons aged 8, where we
will show modern art in a period home as we do in London. By showing
modern art in a domestic context we make it easier for people to relate to
it by giving them a familiar context. It also helps to break down another
barrier by showing that the best of the old and the best of the new can
live comfortably together.
I would welcome any advice to help with a research project for an external
PhD and book in due course. I am looking at the management of fine art
businesses involving a macroeconomic; sectoral and company level
perspective. As an cross-departmental and interdisciplinary subject it is
proving difficult to track down any source material. Essentially I need
material on the fine arts that addresses economic, management and
businesses issues and similarly material on economics, business and
management that addresses the fine arts.
Any sources ; web sites, libraries, colleges, universities, books ,
articles, authors, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
