The sad tales of itinerant teacher--I have a good story to make you laugh.
My first job after returning to teach after birth of three
children-elementary in a building that had levels, so cart was out of
question, annexes(portables) no water in those places.

I had a small closet to keep supplies. One time i was mixing powdered
paint and spilled a little and must have tracked it into the office
inadvertantly. The principal kind of yelled at me about it so I went to
get the biggest mop out of janitor's closet and went into the office to
mop. The principal was shocked as she said she had picked up the spot with
a kleenex.

You'll have to talk to someone, seriously, like principal or union rep!
Sounds discriminatory to me. You need halfway decent conditions.
Try to keep your sense of humor and in the meantime look for a better
position somewhere. Fran
