Take Art out of our lives and a CEO will have: a bland office, with no
pictures. The walls would be neutral gray, Carpet grey, Draperies, probably
none. A fluorescent lamp, just purely functional. Steel desk and files. No
sculpture. No art. No wallpaper.

The Person in habiting the office would go home to the same...a purely
functional house (sort of like Star TreK hallway)...no garden to speak of
either. Maybe a "functional tree" for shade. After work...a family in same
neutral colors gathers in an austere house. No one has an appreciation for
beauty, color. Just a drab existence of sameness everywhere. Daily. Forever.
Sounds like it could be a description of Hell.
Save us from this!
