bead projects

Hi all,

I'm currently working on an exhibit of contemporary bead artists, and was
wondering if anyone has a fantastic bead project for students, either
elementary or secondary. I've found a few books that have jewelry projects
(braclets, necklaces, etc.), but have yet to find anything else.

Speaking of jewelry, has anyone seen students sporting friendship pins
(safety pins with beads pinned to the shoes) these days, or is this a relic
of the 80s?
