The University of Houston is offering a fulltime, one-year, art education
assistant professor appointment which may become a tenure-track position
next year. The individual filling this appointment will have a wonderful
opportunity to demonstrate his or her value this year.

Ph.D. or Ed.D. and minimum of two years' public school teaching experience
required. Responsibilities include coordinating graduate art education
program and teaching of courses in instructional technology, history of art
education, philosophy of art/art education, and field-based methodology.
Position also includes university supervision of student teaching, and
hiring of graduate teaching fellows/adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate
elementary art methods course and supervise student teaching in the field.

High quality of teaching, service, and scholarship are expected. Send
