I wanted to share a couple of things my Intro to Art students
came up with during an art history unit which we just finished.
One group covering the Gothic Era presented their material using
hand puppets which included a "Stained Glass Window Puppet" who talked
and told about stained glass. They also had a "Flying Buttress Puppet"
which was in the shape of a flying buttress attached to a small brown
paper bag with a mouth on one side. I had a hard time listening to
their report because I was so amused over their concept!
A group of all girls who were covering Egypt used a Barbie and
made a "Mummy". They took it home, but it should have been put on that
site with the Barbie art.
