Sorry I didn't send this earlier but I haven't been online. For next year
I have an alternative suggestion to the art final exam. Two years ago for
full year high school Studio Art and second year Drawing and Painting
courses we decided to give what we call "authentic" midterm and final exams. The
midterm is comprised of selected projects from the first and second marking
periods. The final exam grade comes from selected works from the third and
fourth marking periods. I wrote out a detailed explanation of how it
works. If you're interested write to me. It seemed the fairest for my students.
The students who come to class and work hard benefit the most. Have a great
summer. E
