[teacherartexchange] Bad Day

 Yesterday was not a good day for me. My principal informed me that I don't

 have a budget for next year, I didn't have one for this year either! He

 said, I could ask the kids to bring in supplies but I couldn't make them,

 he said "no" to art fee . He said "no" to a fund raiser, he says " no"

 to selling stuff to the kids . He says "NO" to pretty much everything !

He said his school budget was cut by 60 %! He chose to cut mine 100 %

Last year my budget was $2,500. I got my purchase orders well in advance

of the dead line but was told I got them in after the deadline after the

deadline so my money was going back in the Kitty !!!!!!!!

 I live in Indiana. The Gov. decided that he wanted to balance the budget
 
and one place he wanted to start was the schools. So the money to the

public school was cut ,and so it goes. We got 1/2 percent raise last year

and zero this year. I don't even want to think about how much I've spent

out of my own pocket as most of us do.
