Here's an interesting Web site of a guy who creates them. He includes
instructions for making them as well. He's gone beyond the basic four
sticks/four sides, and makes 12-sided ones, up to 36" wide. They're
really quite beautiful, and he seems to have invested some soul into

In looking for accurate info on the origin of Ojos de Dios, it appears
to have about as much significance these days as a Boy Scout "craft"
(where you can find instructions for making one!). Some of the best
info I found was on IAD.
