Tonight on PBS (KCPT in Kansas City) was a program created locally by
Mary Kemper
on a black artist named Fred Brown. I believe it was called "140 Wooster
Street" after the
address of his loft in New York. I found out that Fred painted the
History of Art murals
in the restaurant area of the Kemper Museum in KC. He painted numerous
portraits of
Jazz musicians. It is a program that you should see if it is shown in
your area.
