Hi Susan,
I have the Nikon Coolpix 3100. I do just love it. It takes amazing pictures, is absolutely easy to use and I'm totally hooked on it. I can't imagine going back to film again. If you want, I will email you some pictures. You could request artroom stuff or family stuff. Everyone who sees my pictures wants to know what kind of camera I have. I don't know anything about camcorders, though.

What do you like about the Canon A-70? I am in the market for a new camera and was thinking of buying a Nikon COOLPIX 885. Any advice?
Hi, Kay and all,
This thread is meant to be! I'm also looking for a new digital camera as well as a new camcorder. I'm so confused because I'm technically challenged. I want a digital camera that's easy to use, with very clear pictures, a zoom, not too large, and buttons I can see (at my age-LOL). The Olympus Stylus and Cameria were recommended to me. Does anyone have a camera that you just LOVE? Also, what do you suggest for a camcorder. I actually bought the brand new Sony Mini one that records right onto DVD and you pop it into a DVD player right from the camera. Now I find out that the recorder is tempermental and Sony is having a lot of trouble with it. So, I am willing to return this if anyone has a better suggestion.....remember, I'm techically challenged!
Susan on Long Island who thanks and respects all you camera experts out there!
