I did something with my first graders. We "Took a line for a walk." All the
students lined up holding hands and facing in the same direction. I was the
leader. We walked all around the school and made our line straight, curved,
zig-zag, etc. When we returned to class, we used markers and took a line for
a walk on our papers. It was lots of fun. Janet
