virus alert- worm attaching itself to email

I just recieved an email from deborah calhoun (sp?) that had a virus
attached. She didn't send it, it is a worm that is spread through email
automatically. If you receive an email with an attachment, and the
message take a look at the attachment, DON'T OPEN IT!!! DELETE THE EMAIL.
 I didn't open it, but saved the attachment in my documents file so i
could check it for viruses. Viruscan said it contained a virus. Now I
can't delete it from my file. Just a heads up. Peggy
