Re: moral support, job change

Date: Tue Jun 18 2002 - 06:48:47 PDT

yes, this year I was fired by a new principal. I made the mistake of
disagreeing with him about the direction of the art program. He's an ass
anyway. But I was forced to make a change. We had a daughter six months ago
and I began to panic about finances. You hear everyday that company XYZ is
laying off more people. I accepted a position that was not everything I
wanted. The only real draw back is that it is on a cart. I would like to have
a room, but I can deal with it. It's at three elementary schools and I've
worked at multiple schools before. It's a challenge yes, but you get to
experience many more people, students and staff. At least I now have an
administration that will listen to my ideas instead of firing me for a
disagreement. Hang in there and if you need any encouragement, let me know.
Take care.
