Re: junior high

Date: Wed Jun 12 2002 - 17:46:15 PDT

Hello again,
I just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my last email. The support
was truly amazing. I am a bit apprehensive about starting, but I keep being
told that this is somehow a good sign.
At this point I would like to tell those who are interested, a little
about my background. I was an advertising art director for the last 13 years
and I am currently 3/4 of the way through my masters. My strength is graphic
design and the the computer skills that go with it. My weakness is
traditional fine art studio skill which sadly I haven't been doing since my
undergrad days. My medium for the last 13 years has, for better or worse been
the computer. The downside of this is that I am not very knowledgeable about
traditional media, but I am willing to learn and am currently taking steps to
broaden my skills. I was looking for a computer art high school position, but
now feel that this jr. position is a blessing in disguise.
Many have mentioned Harry wong's book and I am currently in the process
of picking it up. Also, many have mentioned behavior/expectation contracts.
If anyone would care to send one I would appreciate it greatly.
I have a great many questions and hopefully many will be answered here.

thanks again,

mike sacco
