For high schoolers, my 'awards' are about the same. This
year was my first year of AP Art History, and since the 10
kids were such good sports about it (we all worked hard), I
gave them laser lights (I know, I know it's against the
teacher rules, someone could blind someone, etc.), but we
all had different lenses and used them to shine on the
slides when the slides were projected on the screen. So if
one of my students wanted to comment a design element, or a
certain use of paint on the slide, they would whip out their
laser light and point at the slide. Made life easier, and
more fun. And on the day of the AP test I got them all
special 'cool' #2 pencils to take the AP test with, and for
the end of the year I gave them all tie-dye t-shirts that
they all wore during graduation practice.
(all things were bought by me either on ebay or the flea
market, so I didn't go broke!).
