I teach elementary and I;ve found seating charts are good for my sanity. If I
let the kids site wherever they want each week, they fight over the chairs.
I let them choose their seat the first day, and if that looks like a good
choice, I note it on the seating chart. With more than 500 names to learn,
it works best to have a seating chart. JH
