<< Hello everyone, I am a Junior at the University of Illinois (studying Art
Ed)-This summer I am teaching at a school- a makeshift art teacher- It is a
great experience for me but i am afraid that i might run out of ideas for my
kids- i have 5-9 yr olds- but they are actually quite similar skill levels.
Any and all ideas would be great- i have them all afternoon mon-fri so we
have a lot of art to be making!!!
Go to a large bookstore or to a teacher's supply store or go to a bookstore
online and find yourself a book with lesson plans. There are so many out
there. You shouldn't have any problem coming up with ideas. Your basic
concern is what supplies you have to work with. Think of what you want to
teach the students. Is it the elements of design or do you want to do craft
type projects, for example? If you don't have supplies you can always find
free stuff. For example old wallpaper books for collages. Once you figure
that out I'm sure you'll find lots of lessons to do. Best of luck. Eileen
