I study Spanish Missions with my students and have done numerous projects.
We look at the Missons of San Antonio, Texas. They have a very nice website

1. Cardboard relief (emphasize shapes) Cover cardboard with one sheet of
tissue paper after brushing entire relief with this glue. Allow to dry then
light rub an oil pastel over entire board, using a color that compliments the
tissue paper.

2. Cardboard relief printmaking.

3. Cardboard relief colored with heavy duty foil and rubbed with shoe polish.
