Bunki--Confession--the toast is real--I did this project at the end of the
year--spent some time with the Pop Art movement, slide show, discussions,
etc. --so, to save time, I toasted a lot of bread at home, slow dried it in
the oven, 200 degrees for over 2 hours--then I had the students paint several
coats of gloss medium over each of their pieces to seal it--when dry the
toast became rock hard and bug-free for at least the time they projects were
on display for our art show--Although, when moistened by the gloss, the whole
art room smelled like toast and I did worry about bugs, till the toast dried.
