I too am very tired of broken pencils from my middle school students. I now
buy the big fat "begginner" pencils to stop the breakage but some of my
students are bigger and stronger than me! My plan for fall is to pass out
those tiny little "golf" pencils to work with in their sketchbooks and save
the real pencils for project work! -Kathy
