Nora - have tried everything except chaining my scissors down - splashed with
red nail polish in an abstract pattern. The scissors look ugleeeee when I
am done. One of my first graders took my good fiskers home during the
summer. She came back that fall and when I tried to put them away
as they were marked with my markings - she said no they were hers. I kept
them
and Mother came in yelling at me for taking her daughters scissors. I
explained
my markings and she said well they did the same thing with their nail polish
- I asked why they didn;t write a name instead and she said this was faster.
Another
art teacher splashes hers with ugleee black paint - scissors are stolen just
as fast.
With some kids I think it is a challenge rather than a need!!! &8>0 Roberta
