Hi All,
I am about to deconstruct my Elementary two art rooms (two separate
schools) and totally revamp. Used to share with the music teacher and now
have my own space this year. Any ideas out there about things that you've
always wanted to do in your art room. I have a few weeks to accomplish this
and want to really do it right!
I have 6 tables, one supply table and my teacher desk in both rooms. I
was planning on a reading center, art and artist related books, and perhaps a
puzzle center. For times when they are done early. Do you all keep your
reference files, books at home or in school, right now I have a bit in each
place and need to rethink the applications. I keep the majority of supplies
under lock and key to avoid excessive "permanent " borrowing. ( that's "PC"
for pillaging). Thinking of buying or begging for donations of wood for
shelves, and plastic shoe box and bigger containers, to help with the
stacking of supplies.
Would love to glean some ideas from this extremely creative bunch.
PS--- Sorry I missed the grounds for sculpture trip, I am actually very close
to there, but had a State art organization, leadership conference that day,
that could not be missed. Tell me how it went, perhaps others that could not
attend would be interested in a second trip or an alternate site in the area.
Thanks in advance, Christine :)
