You have all been so helpful to write about tye dyeing. I am so glad to know
the stuff you have all said. I am using 100% cotton shirts that have been
prewashed and I am using procien (SP?) dyes.. I got two kinds of white
powdered chemical with the dyes. One was more grainy and more like salt than
the other. I apparently have used the wrong one for the presoak...as the
dyes just rinsed right out. Anyone have a clue as to what stage in the
process I use each of these. One person said use hot water after applying
dyes and soaking over night. Another person said use the hot water before dye
application. Can anyone clarify for me?
