Most of the "Watercolor colored pencils" are good even the Crayola brand, they are soft and you can use water and brushes for nice painterly effects.

I was looking for my favorite kind and they are no longer being made. Does
anyone have suggestions? I'm looking for a soft one, that blends well and
has deep rich colors. I'd also like to be able to use a varuety of brands so
I get more variety in the tints and shades of the colors. Thanks. Gail
