Age is and isn't a factor...I was hired last year at 50 in one system after
flubbing an interview in a system that referred to the interviewee before me
as a "sweet little thing". I am unfortunately not little and sweet is
debateable. You must present yourself as innovative and, as we all know you
are, dedicated. I have found that unless it is a monetary thing or a system
riddled with nepotism that age is irrelavant. I have moved 4 time in 18 years
and have found employment in each state...took me usually a year or less to
do so. Expertise and enthusiasm are the key to systems that care about the
quality of their students' education. You have both. Hang in there.
