Can't leave the most influential person in my life out! My grandmother
taught me to do embroidery and sew. The skills required for the stitches
plus the study of color combinations was a big part of my arts education not
to mention the love of working on something very intimate, that would be
used by family. Both of my older sisters learned more sewing arts than I
    and taught me also.
