Are we all to be condemned because of the mistakes of our founding
fathers? Did you expect them to be perfect?
Of course these isms are wrong. But I do not remember them being written
into the American Constitution which state that "all men were created
equal, under GOD." I think you are blaming our founding fathers for the
mistakes of human beings who did not live up to the ideals that were
presented. Is that fair? or just? or even correct to blame them for
    others mistakes?????

You are right. I do not know what document you are making your
assumption about separation of church and state.
I would be interested in knowing where the document is and what it says,
in context, that separated church and schools.
Couldn't have been the pledge of allegiance, nor the "one nation under
God". So truly, Since you are a history teacher, please enlighten me. I
understand that the laws of our land and its early foundations were
    taken from biblical principles.
