    I was responsible for my students if they were scheduled into my
    room...didn't have a problem with that. What I did have a problem with is a
    rescheduling of classes (such as switching the 1st grade time with the 5th
    grade or switching our planning time) so grade level teachers to go to the
    assembly and wouldn't have to miss their planning period. This meant that
    once again that if we wanted to go to the assembly...we had to sacrifice our
    planning period to do so. We did go to most but soon tired of being the
    disciplinarians of the assembly rather than the grade level teachers. Since
    the speacialty teachers know all of the students...this duty was often
    imposed on us. Thus our selective attendance of the assemblies.
