I have all 7th graders for 9 weeks( 4 days per week) and it is way too short
a period of time. I am only able to cover 3 ( at most 4) major units with
them. We start with drawing and do the visual perception skills in Drawing
on the Right Side of the Brain. We move next into painting ( usually
watercolor) and following that is a short ceramics lesson. If there is time
at the end, we touch on perspective for a few days. I used to fit in a lino
block printing unit but that has fallen by the way side because the drawing
and painting need more time if they are to be covered with any kind of
depth. It's frustrating-- I always feel like we are rushing. I would much
rather have a small group for a longer period of time if I had the option,
particularly if the kids were electing to be there. My advice would be to
    stay with what you have.
