Although I teach high school, this year I am mentoring a new elementary
teacher. She tells me all kinds of stories about teachers missing their
planning periods (for art) because of a change in scheduling. I understand
the difficulties in the regular teacher's day, but what it comes down to, is
that no matter, art is still not valued.
Yes, they are horrified because they lost their planning period.
