This is not really "art teacher" dumbness...but. Once when on recess duty on
the playground the kids had lined up at the bell. Some of the boys in the
line kept bouncing the basketballs they had played with at recess. I
promptly announced as they lined up...."you boys in the back of the line,
please hold your balls in your hand when it is time to line up." I happened
to be on duty with the headmaster who was filling in for an absent teacher.
His face turned VERY red, but I could tell he was trying to keep from
laughing. I felt sooooooo dumb!
