I don't think OSHA deals with schools. We have been dealing with
ventilation problems for years and the previous teachers dealt with them
too. We get one thing fixed and then another. I've been sick this week
with nose bleeds and fatigue and I think it's because the ceramics room
adjacent to mine has been having air conditioning and vent problems and
both kilns are going night and day. I at least have two small windows.
Actually, large windows but only a small vent opens on each! but very hot
this week. Thanks heavens this is our last week. Then, our regular
custodian who cleans is out cutting grass and we have a sub that I begged
to wet mop the rooms the other day and didn't. The dust is unbelievable.
I think these issues are the same everywhere. but good luck to all. Try
your health and safety committee through your union. We did that and kept
badgering and finally got ventillation in but I think the air ducts need
to be cleaned out. Good point.

    Fran
