Peg, I couldn't agree with you more. Even when we don't know what or what
else we can do, the fact that we are there, available, listening, can mean
more than anything else.

(Suggestion: If your student is having trouble with the law in a matter
which comes before a judge or court, *TEACHER'S PERCEPTIONS AND
RECOMMENDATIONS CAN CARRY A LOT OF WEIGHT*. See if there's a judge or
lawyer you can talk with/to.)
