Hi friends,
Check out the book 'Art from many hands: Multicultural Art Projects' by Jo
Miles Schuman.
(Davis Publications, Library of Congress Catalog Card Number: 80-14665). It
has chapters on projects from different countries to do with elementary
school children. In the Chapter 'Arts of the Middle East' it has a great
section on Egyptian Hieroglyphs & Jewellery whilst in the Chapter 'Mexican,
Central American and South American Arts' there is quite a lot of
information on Carved Gourd Designs. Hope this helps.
