Second, some people have mentioned their thinking styles as "right brain" or
"left brain." to explain why they can or can't do certain things, or not do
them as well. However, I think that is rather simplistic. Here is an
article from Kappan dealing with that very issue. It concludes that brain
laterality in education is more a product of popular literature rather than
science.

And here is a related article, quoted in the above article, from Better
Beginnings (Pittsburgh: Office of Child Development, University of
Pittsburgh, 1997)dealing with the supposed "peak learning years" of
children. These don't get too scientific so i would urge anyone who wants
to know more on the subject. If anyone reads them, I'd be open to private
