First off, there will be a mess. Any time I have done papier mache with 6th
graders there has been a mess. When their hands first go in the liquid they
There will be drips on the tables, chairs, and floor. Cover the tables with
newspapers and get the chairs or stools out of the way. Remind them
constantly not to sling their hands (automatic reaction). I believe the
results are worth the mess but I would not do papier mache if I was worried
about a mess.
