Clip Art -- Just Cheating...

If you had a student who turned in a paper / report that was copied
from the Encyclopedia and claimed the work to be his own; would you reward
him for that? I don't think so. That's the problem with clip art.
Everybody claims it to be their own work. It's cheating the people who
created it and who probably spent thousands of dollars on an art education.
But fear not. They're letting college students get away with it.
It's funny. My school is handing out degrees to graphic artists who CAN'T
Everybody who has a clip art library thinks they are a graphic artist.
However sooner or later they will be handed a job that can't be done by
clip art and the truth will come out. I've been with a few companies who
thought they could save a buck and fired their artists and gave the work to
the secretaries. Those companies have since gone out of business. Ha!
My advice: learn to draw. Get the book "Drawing On The Right Side Of
The Brain" by Betty Edwards. If you use clip art; give credit to the

paper. Scan the tracing. Edit and enhance the scan on your computer.
