Bill, I have found that most of my middle school students are open to
anything if I'm enthused about what we're doing and reassure them that they
won't be made fools of or that we recognize success or deal with failure
together. They tend to have a herd mentality so you have to be careful not
to cut them out of the herd. Isolation through recognition or failure is
difficult for them to deal with. Linda
