No wonder that so many teachers are frightened at the prospects of
teaching drawing skills, and continue to rationalize this behavior by
avoidance.

The truth is hard to deal with isn't it. I had a young artist tell me the
other night that she wanted me to teach her how to draw hands and some other
things. I said that I would be glad to teach her to draw. That way she will
be able to draw anything she wants. She was a little confused but willing to
learn. She is a product of our education system and our art classes.
