After seeing a segment on a home decorating show, I was seriously thinking
about constructing a small fountain for my art room to sooth the savage
beasts =)... They said that all you need is a pump from a fish tank with a
short piece of pipe to give the water some height in a waterproof
container. You arrange around it any rocks, shells, plant clippings,
candles, and small statues that you want -- I'd like to try metal. You can
change the sound of the water by the pump setting and the setup of the
rocks or whatever you use. It would have to be "hands off" in the
classroom though, or stuck together with some kind of epoxy.
