Mendhi

I have been wanting to do a lesson about Mendhi with my elementary students.
A friend of mine gave me the idea to do hands in clay and have the students
carve Mendhi designs into the clay. I think this is really great. I am
looking for more information about Mendhi so that I can discuss with my
students the culture and tradition that it comes from. Anyone out there know
anything that might help me out. Any suggestions?
